The City of Hermantown is embarking on a major update to its Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan serves as a guiding document for how the City wants to change and grow over the next 20 years. The plan will include goals and policies for key topics that help guide future land use decisions and system investments (parks, trails, roads, and utilities) over the next twenty years. 

This plan update will establish the City’s long-range vision statement and guiding principles, while identifying new opportunities to adapt to changing markets (housing, commercial, office, manufacturing, and industrial) and trends.
